There's been a big change made to benefits for people who are sick and disabled which has come into effect today - and it has caused plenty of debate.
People with "a severe, lifelong disability, illness or health condition" who are unlikely to ever work again are exempted from being reassessed for benefits.
According to the Mirror Online, only people deemed unfit for "work-related activity" in Employment and Support Allowance, or its equivalent in Universal Credit, can claim the exemption. Those deemed fit for "work-related activity" still have to undergo... read more
