The best and worst performing FTSE 100 shares over the past tax year revealed



The sharp divergence in fortunes of Britain's blue-chip shares has been laid bare by figures that show the winner almost doubling and the loser more than halving in value. 
NMC Health has been the best performing FTSE 100 share over the past tax year, according to research by Interactive Investor.
The share price of the Abu Dhabi-based but London-listed healthcare firm grew by 92 per cent - turning a £1,000 investment to £1,920, the study by the DIY platform found, which ran the numbers to 28 March to cover most of the tax year.
