The ancient fire that levelled a city in under 3 HOURS: Mud bricks shed light on the Megiddo's violent destruction

Three thousand years ago, an ancient middle-Eastern city which linked Asia and Africa was razed to the ground by fire.
As the flames tore through Tel Megiddo, near the city of Haifa in present-day Israel, they levelled the city to smoldering embers and charred mud bricks.
But new evidence suggests the blaze may have been far more intense than previously imagined, with the city destroyed in between two to three hours.
