That's toad-ally awful! UK toad population is in decline as urban areas destroy natural habitats



The UK's toad population is about to fall down a hole as research has revealed their numbers are in sharp decline.
Experts warned the common toad population has fallen so quickly that it could soon be added to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) 'Red List' of Threatened Species.
The reasons behind the decline in numbers include the growth of urban areas destroying its natural habitat, and increased traffic causing more deaths on the road.
