Tesco planning £70 fines for shoppers misusing parking bays



Shoppers who wrongly park in disabled or parent and child bays at Tesco stores across Hull and the East Riding will face fines of up to £70 under a new crackdown.
For the first time in its history, the supermarket giant has introduced a scheme to fine people who park in specialist bays when they have no right to use them.
Staff have been given a smartphone app to record evidence and catch shoppers parking illegally. The device, used in store, records information from blue badges and automatically sends details to parking company Horizon, which can access the DVLA database. Staff will also... read more
