Tennis star Maria Sharapova has two-year doping ban reduced to 15 months after appeal
 

TENNIS star Maria Sharapova's doping ban has been reduced from two years to 15 months, the International Tennis Federeation have revealed.
Sharapova - a five-time Grand Slam Champion - was previously served the ban after testing positive for meldonium but had her sentence reduced after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The Russian athlete said in March: “It is very important for you to understand that, for 10 years, this medicine was not on Wada's banned list and I had been legally taking that medicine."
