Tek4 recruits staff after quadrupling orders



A company that makes precision drilling machines for aero-engine companies has taken on staff after quadrupling orders.
Tek4, of Oadby, has secured multi-million pound contracts for its equipment that makes holes in gas turbine blades.
The small holes are used to pump cool air into the blades to prevent them melting when used at super-high temperatures.
The machines are shipped to manufacturers all over the world.
The business has seen orders grow from £1.4 million last year to £6 million, with a further £20 million of orders already lined up for the next three years.
