A Teesside teacher tragically died following an accident as she walked the family pet puppy.
Unity City Academy’s vice principal Emma Donaldson’s husband told her inquest the mum-of-one “didn’t stand a chance” after she was hit by a Saab on a 60mph road.
Her inquest heard the 42-year-old was walking her six-month old Ayredale Terrier, Edward, when another teacher, David McCafferty, hit her as he drove home from work.
The wounded dog then somehow made its way back to the family home to husband Alistair.
