Teenager appears in court following alleged Newcastle rooftop stand-off with police
 

A teenager has appeared in court in connection with an alleged rooftop stand-off with police in Newcastle’s West End.
The 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested and charged after allegedly climbing onto a roof on Western Avenue, Elswick, on Friday night.
He has been charged with robbery, affray, breach of a restraining order and racially aggravated public order.
