Teachers furious at plan for off-license next door to school



A headteacher has hit out at Liverpool council for not telling him about plans to open a shop selling alcohol next door to his school.
The owners of the former Old Campfield pub, in Heyworth Street next to Everton Park, want to turn it into a licensed convenience store.
But 10 local residents have objected, saying they fear that a new shop would lead to more anti-social behaviour in the nearby park which they say already has problems with scrambler bikes.
