'Talk English Project' launched in Scunthorpe



A NEW initiative has launched in Scunthorpe for residents who use English as a second language.
The 'Talk English Project' is to work with local community groups to provide a programme of free and informal learning activities for six months.
Funding for the project has been provided by the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) from the department for communities and local government.
Recruitment of volunteer tutors is now under way with the offer of free training.
