SYP chief David Crompton will still receive pension after being called on to resign
 

Former South Yorkshire Police chief David Crompton will still receive his pension after being called on to resign - and will avoid any potential disciplinary action.
The South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Dr Alan Billings announced he was calling for Mr Crompton to resign immediately following a statement he made the day after the Hillsborough inquest verdicts.
But, Dr Billings’ office confirmed the decision would not affect the pension of Mr Crompton - who had been due to retire this November.
