Swadlincote vets warn feeding dogs and cats human food can cost up to £400 for treatment
 

Vets in Swadlincote are warning pet owners not to feed cats and dogs anything other than animal food as they could be left for a bill for hundreds of pounds.
Kelly Freezer, a vet at Brightside Vets in West Street, Swadlincote, warned dog owners against feeding them currants and chocolate, and keeping them away from anti-freeze, conkers and all medicines as surgery and treatment can cost up to £1,000.
New figures from Co-op Insurance revealed that the average claim for digestive system disorders is £416 for dogs, and £379 for cats, with diet being the primary cause of most problems. As a... read more
