Swadlincote teenager moves one step closer to playing hockey for England
 

A teenager from Swadlincote has her sights set on the England Hockey Squad and has moved one step closer to making her dreams a reality.
Erin Franklin, 15, who attends Granville Sports College in Burton Road, Woodville, has been selected as the goalkeeper for the Mercia Lynx Squad and will play in front of England scouts at matches this half term.
However, Erin almost didn't become the hockey star she is today as she was turned away from a training session.
