Swadlincote shop could be given facelift to improve town centre as part of Lottery scheme
 

An shop front deemed an 'eyesore', could be given a facelift as part of a heritage Lottery scheme to improve a town centre. South Derbyshire District Council is hoping to get permission to display graphic signs showing the history of Swadlincote in the windows of the empty shop front at a former Estate Agents at 2 Midland Road, Swadlincote.
This also an application to repaint the shop. It is hoped the application will make the area more attractive for residents and visitor and the council's planning committee will make the decision, today, Tuesday, October 18.
