Survey exposes unpaid hours scandal
SEVEN out of 10 people work overtime equivalent to an extra day every week and almost half of them receive no extra pay for it, a report revealed yesterday.
The survey of 2,000 employees found that most feel forced to work through lunch, four out of five do not leave the office on time on most days and a third were not able to take all their holiday entitlement.
Stress and fatigue is also exacerbated by digital innovations making it easier to work anywhere, OnePulse chief marketing officer Nick Walter said.
