Sunderland driver’s high speed police chase ended in terrifying crash into homes



A Sunderland driver who led police on a high speed chase through residential streets has admitted a string of offences after a terrifying crash with two homes and three cars.
Shocked residents of Eden House Road have previously spoken to the Echo of how the smashed sounded like an explosion.
Earlier, drunken John Langan, 27, had sped off from officers when they spotted him concealing his face as he drove an Audi A3 towards them in Chester Road in the early hours of Sunday, August 21, Sunderland magistrates heard.
