BRITAIN’S worst performing railway is deliberately skipping stations in a bid to force through driver-only trains, rail union RMT claimed this morning.
Govia Thameslink Railway’s (GTR) Southern division is locked in a bitter dispute with conductors over its bid to strip them of skilled duties. As the latest in a series of strikes continued yesterday, RMT said bosses had squandered a “golden opportunity” to resolve the dispute after talks broke down.
