Stuart Carrington's English Open run ends in defeat to Anthony Hamilton



STUART Carrington's run at the English Open has come to an end after he was beaten 4-1 in the third round in Manchester by Anthony Hamilton.
The Grimsby potter went into the match in good form after wins over former world champion Peter Ebdon and Rod Lawler in his previous rounds.
But he found world number 107 Hamilton on top of his game following impressive wins over Adam Duffy and Matthew Selt.
The 'Sheriff' took a close opening frame 56-38 before doubling his advantage with a break of 65 in the second helping him to a comprehensive 76-1 win.
