Strike over jobs and working conditions begin at East Coast Virgin Trains



A 24 HOUR strike in an outcry over jobs and working conditions of rail workers has begun on Virgin Trains East Coast today (Monday, October 3).
Workers union, The RMT, have said that around 1,800 members were taking part in the industrial action against threatened job cuts and a dispute over safety and working conditions.
The strike will affect trains traveling between Lincolnshire and London through out the day, although rail bosses have said that they expect to run a full and uninterrupted service.
