Strictly Come Dancing 2017 eviction row: Judge Shirley insists she has no favourites
 

The 57-year-old made the casting vote on Sunday that meant the former JLS singer was sent home rather than The Saturdays songstress Mollie King. 
Fans were quick to condemn the new head judge – who took over from show stalwart Len Goodman for the latest series – and claimed she was biased as she previously trained Mollie’s dance partner AJ Pritchard. 
Defending herself yesterday, Shirley said: “I don’t have any favourites on Strictly. I just critique and I am there to do the right job. 
“I just say what I see in front of me with a good heart.”
