Stratford’s Davies claims title despite late drama



STRATFORD’S Jim Davies narrowly won the 750 Motor Club MR-2 Championship after a thrilling race at Donington Park.
Davies maintained a healthy lead throughout the 2016 championship, competing against more than 40 other drivers.
However, at the penultimate race at Rockingham, Davies had a collision with a back marker he thought had moved out of his way, meaning it all came down to the final race at Donington.
And Davies, who is a co-owner of Stratford Tyres on Avenue Farm Industrial Estate, had to finish in no less than third place or his nearest rival Kristian White could snatch the title.... read more
