Storm Emma shreds oil rig’s mooring sending it careering into ship as workers scream
 

The shipping container was left with a 9ft gaping hole sparking an emergency rescue to save the vessel from sinking.
Another boat, moored in Fuerteventura and containing ten tons of fuel was sunk but there was no spillage into the sea.
The Canary Islands have been hit by winds up to 93mph and waves of up to six metres as the devastating storm raged earlier this week.
The storm has caused landslides, flooding, ferries to be cancelled and schools to close.
