Stirling Albion edge closer to appointing a new manager as shortlist drawn up
 

Stirling Albion will take a step closer to naming their new manager this week when a shortlist for the post is drawn up.
Applications for the vacancy, created by the departure of Stuart McLaren after the 4-0 defeat to Elgin City last month , closed at noon today (Wednesday), with around 30 having been received by Monday evening.
Former Queen of the South boss James Fowler – who played as a trialist in Saturday’s 2-0 win at Cowdenbeath – is among the favourites for the job, according to McBookie.
