Steven Gerrard could snub Liverpool coaching role for shock move as MK Dons manager
 

The former Liverpool and England captain has held preliminary talks with the League One club in view of being handed his big break into management.
Gerrard has spoken to Dons chairman Pete Winkelman about replacing fellow Liverpudlian Karl Robinson, who left his post last month.
Dons, who are languishing in 21st place, are exploring a number of opportunities and Gerrard is understood to be one of numerous candidates under consideration.
