Steve McClaren set for Derby return as Nigel Pearson's replacement



Steve McClaren is set for a shock return as Derby boss, Press Association Sport understands.
The former England manager has been interviewed for the job and is expected to make a comeback to iPro Stadium 17 months after leaving.
McClaren is expected to replace Nigel Pearson after he left last week following a suspension and club investigation into his conduct last month.
Chris Powell had been in caretaker charge and had been tipped to get the job before McClaren emerged on Wednesday.
