Stephen Clemence explains why he left Hull City for Aston Villa



Seven days ago came the call that Stephen Clemence had been expecting. The appointment of Steve Bruce as Aston Villa manager called for a trusted sidekick and the Championship club had one man in mind.
A compensation package was soon agreed to prise Hull City's first team coach away from the KCOM Stadium, leaving Clemence to wrestle with a decision as big as any he had faced since his playing days aged 32.
