St Nicholas Cathedral to consider why people are turning away from religion
 

A cathedral will confront the issue of why church attendance has nosedived in recent decades.
St Nicholas Cathedral in Newcastle will be the setting on Wednesday for a public lecture by Professor of Sociology and Religion Linda Woodhead, co-author with Andrew Brown of a book published in July titled That Was the Church That Was: How the Church of England Lost the English People.
