St Helens stabbings 'came after mass brawl' as roads remain closed



Two teenagers stabbed last night in St Helens town centre may have been injured in a “mass brawl”, one eyewitness claimed.
A large stretch of Hall Street and Shaw Street remains closed as police continue to probe what happened, with the streets blocked off to traffic between Corporation Street and Standish Street.
Photos show a white car covered in a tarpaulin sheet behind the police cordon this morning, and drivers and people heading to work and college were told to find other routes.
