St Helens mum 'heartbroken' over not being able to keep dead son's allotment
 

A mum has told of her family’s “devastation” after St Helens Council “snatched away” her dead son’s allotment.
Angela Middlehurst has tended to an allotment on the Ashtons Green site for more than 20 years and her son Ethan held his own plot of land for the last five years.
Ethan suffered with epilepsy and died seven months ago after food became lodged in his throat and he suffered a fit.
The 23-year-old had been regularly helped on the land, located on Moorfoot Road, by his older brother and after he passed away his family planned to take over the allotment and tend to it in his honour.... read more
