St Asaph man cleared of stalking Italian priest he claimed abused him as a boy
 

A St Asaph man has been cleared in the Italian courts after he was accused of stalking a priest he confronted over allegedly abusing him as a boy.
Mark Murray had travelled to Verona in what he called an attempt to forgive the Catholic missionary who he claimed abused him.
Mr Murray secretly made a recording of his conversation with the priest, which showed the priest saying: “If it is my fault that you bear a heavy cross, I believe I should ask the Lord for forgiveness, for having erred. I’m sorry. I’m very sorry.
“I’m sorry if what happened in your life was caused by me.”
