Special constable sacked after swindling Merseyside Police expenses
 

A Special Constable has been dismissed after swindling Merseyside Police out of expenses.
Sairah Zafar was binned by the force after being found guilty of misconduct and discreditable conduct for claiming cash she wasn’t entitled to for shifts and training.
The Liverpool John Lennon Airport worker was found to have breached force standards for making the false claims.
Special constables are volunteer officers, but can request money from the police to cover expenses for their efforts - called a “subsistence allowance”.
