Speaker says David Davis 'not in contempt over Brexit papers'
 

The government is not in contempt of Parliament over the release of Brexit impact assessments, Commons Speaker John Bercow has said.
Some MPs felt the documents the government had offered were inadequate, and did not meet the Commons' demands.
Mr Bercow said the test over contempt "had not been met".
But he said it was "most regrettable" that Brexit Secretary David Davis had "unilaterally" cut out parts from the documents before he released them.
