South Yorkshire Police chief David Crompton to take legal action after call for him to resign
 

South Yorkshire’s suspended chief constable David Crompton said he will take legal action after the police and crime commissioner called for him to resign.
South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Billings suspended Mr Crompton in April following a statement the chief made the day after the end of the Hillsborough inquests.
