South Shields transplant dad’s funeral will give boost to homeless charity



The funeral of a South Tyneside father who lost his battle for life following a liver complaint will provide a boost for a local homeless charity.
Luke Wilkinson, 37, who was originally from Marsden, South Shields, died at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle earlier this month, after collapsing while on holiday in Singapore.
The engineering consultant had moved to Kuala Lumpur with his wife Di, 34, and children Jude, five, and Finn, three, when he took a job at an oil and gas company.
