South Shields MP pulls out of charity event due to 'threat'
 

A Tyneside MP was warned off taking part in a popular charity event over the weekend after receiving threats.
Emma Lewell-Buck, who represents South Shields, was due to officially launch the Alzheimer’s Society’s Memory Walk in Bents Park on Saturday, but was forced to pull out.
Mrs Lewell-Buck had been set to open the walk in memory of her beloved grandmother, Eleanor Lewell, who passed away in 2003, aged 85, after battling dementia.
