South Shields judo coach and student shorlisted for top award

A South Tyneside Judo instructor described as an ‘inspirational’ coach is set to join one of her students at a prestigious sporting awards ceremony.
Beth Foster and Meghan Roeves will travel to Nottingham, next month, to find out if they have scooped top accolades in the BJA Awards.
Beth, a coach at South Shields Judo Club, has been nominated for an award for the work she has done inspiring youngsters in the sport while Meghan is up for Volunteer of the Year.
