South Holland councillors to vote on county devolution deal



South Holland District Council is to decide next week on whether it backs plans for a new Greater Lincolnshire Combined Authority.
An extra £15 million a year, as well as a new Greater Lincolnshire Mayor, could all be introduced if South Holland District Council backs a Greater Lincolnshire layer of government at a meeting on October 26.
But under Government rules, all ten district, borough and county councils in Lincolnshire have to say “yes” if powers are to be passed down from Westminster to the new authority, to include both North and North East Lincolnshire councils.
