South Derbyshire lorry driver facing jail after killing two people by dangerous driving
 

A lorry driver from South Derbyshire is facing jail after pleading guilty to causing the death of two people by dangerous driving.
Keith Mees of Pingle Farm Road, Newhall, appeared at Southampton Crown Court and admitted to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The prosecution said Mees was using his mobile phone, before the incident on December 1 last year. The 49-year-old was driving an HGV on the M271 in Southampton, when his truck ploughed into a truck and the back of a car – killing Marian Olteanu and passenger... read more
