Sound a bit fishy? Alien invaders set to be examined on North East's coastlines
 

It will soon be the day of reckoning for the carpet sea squirt – and the leathery sea squirt to boot.
They are among the invader species which volunteers will be searching for on the North East coastline this coming weekend.
On September 8-11 Newcastle University will be running the region’s contribution to a national campaign to help scientists understand the impact non-native alien species are having on the coastal environment.
