Some cod actually have Scouse accents, scientists claim



Some Cod actually have Scouse accents – so much so that Cornish cod may have to learn a new dialect to find a mate.
Scientists believe the fish, which make sounds with their swim bladders, have regional accents.
If males cannot ‘chat up’ females who speak a different dialect when they move north due to climate change, it could threaten their ability to breed.
