Sold at £400 a sip! That's what this rare Burgundy fetched at auction, but you can invest in wine without breaking the bank



Four hundred pounds a sip. That is what the £179,250 sale price for 12 bottles of 1988 Romanée-Conti wine equated to when the case of Burgundy went under the hammer at Bonham’s last London auction.
Another dozen bottles of the same wine will go up for sale with a £160,000 to £180,000 guide price at its next auction to be held in New Bond Street on Thursday.
