Soaring demand for bargain wedding dresses lifts Asos sales but profits fall as it settles trademark dispute



Soaring demand for its bargain wedding dresses helped Asos post a bumper rise in sales. 
The online fashion retailer saw 9,200 brides walk down the aisle in one of its ivory or white gowns which cost between £120 and £230. 
The firm launched its wedding range last year and said it contributed to a 26 per cent increase in sales from £1.1billion to £1.4billion for the year to the end of August.
Trainers and denim were also big sellers.
