SNP accuse Tory Ministers of threatening safety by not guaranteeing access to Europol after Brexit
 

THE Home Office was accused of putting public safety at risk last night after refusing to confirm Britain’s place in a European crime fighting scheme.
Scottish justice secretary Michael Matheson wants the UK Government to end uncertainty by signing up for another year in Europol.
He visited the agency’s HQ in the Netherlands earlier.
UK Ministers have to agree the regulations by January or leave the cross-continent network.
But the Home Office last night refused to say whether they will opt back in.
The department said a response will be sent to Matheson “in due course”.
