Snowdonia's Plas Tan y Bwlch home to some of UK's largest trees
 

Some of the largest trees in the UK are growing in the grounds and gardens of a former mansion in Snowdonia.
The Tree Register of the British Isles reveals Plas Tan y Bwlch has four UK champion trees, nine Welsh champions and a further 16 Gwynedd champions.
One of the UK Champions is an enormous red cedar originally from Japan, the Cryptomeria japonica.
