Snapchat 'files for stock market float'
 

Messaging app Snapchat has filed to list on the US stock market, according to several reports.
Analysts had predicted that the California-based company would eventually go public, with an estimated value of between $20bn and $25bn.
It would the the largest US flotation since Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba listed two years ago.
Snapchat's parent company Snap declined to comment on the reports to the BBC.
Advertising appeal But Several news agencies said that Snapchat had filed a confidential application for an initial public offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
