Smaller glasses could stem rise in wine drinking, say researchers
 

New laws on the maximum size glasses used in pubs could help us as a nation to drink less, researchers have suggested.
And a new study has shown that glasses nowadays are seven times the size of ones used 300 years ago, and the past two decades have seen the biggest increases.
The recent soar in sizes matches with the nation's wine consumption, which doubled between 1980 and 2004.
