Small Heath drugs gang member found hiding in roof after four years on the run
 

A Birmingham drugs gang member has been jailed after he was found trying to hide in a roof after more than four years on the run.
Tahir Mahmood was part of an organised crime group being investigated by the National Crime Agency for importing £1 million worth of heroin from Iran in July 2012.
Border Force staff found the drugs hidden inside cloth handbags while carrying out searches on incoming freight at Heathrow Airport.
Mahmood was arrested along with co-conspirators Israr Ahmed and Razwana Kosar shortly after they took delivery of the parcels.
