Sleeping rough - dozens give up their beds and sleep out in the cold to raise £40k for charity
 

In onesies, pyjamas and sleeping bags, dozens of people willingly spent a cold night on the streets of Gateshead to raise money for charity.
Business people gave up soft beds and heated rooms for the ground outside of the Sage Gateshead for Byte Night.
The event was hosted by Action for Children, to help improve and change the lives of young people, by making sure they all have a safe and loving home.
Hosted across ten different locations in the country more than 1,700 people joined in the sleep out.
