The Hammers find themselves in the relegation zone ahead of Saturday's visit to Crystal Palace, having taken just four points from their opening seven matches.
The poor form comes against a background of off-field issues at their new London Stadium home, with crowd trouble both inside and outside the arena marring their first few league games there.
